Earlier this summer, the Sonoma Community Center issued a call for quilt squares. What began as an idea for a community quilt turned into a gallery of handmade patchwork representing different facets of Sonoma Valley joined together as quilts.
My mom sent in a square for me all the way from Alabama. Hers is the middle square in the photo above, an homage to the difficulties we faced as a community last October and a tribute to the community spirit that helped us get through it.
Stop by the Community Center and see these beautiful works of art!
